here goes my second post.
the books I look at show 3 different types of parking brake, one is a pawl on the right foot board, one is a lever on the frame and the last is mention of a clip on the front brake handle bar lever.
anyone care to voice an opinion which one is correct for my 1964 and/or where I might pick one up?

Your 1962 should have the pawl on the hand brake lever. They appear on eBay now and then.

thanks for the info chris.
i orgiinally posted this as a '62 due to the wierd engine case number, but this has been resolved and is really a '64 and i think the same pawl on the handle bar brake lever is the same on either.
i'll check it out.
you wouldn't by chance have a picture of it?
if so, i could probably rig something up..
