Im writing an article about this Engine, built by Elmo Looper in 1941, 7 years before Clauson and Hood built the Brute 80"knucklehead. Elmo was at the factory specifically for stroker engines and this one, 38-61-38 has got Knuckleheads and the new 3-7/16" dome pistons.

Turns out JD Cameron never had a Hemi head until the 1970s

I had the honor of meeting Mr. Cameron one year at Bean Blossom, Folks!

Although I had no clue who he was, when I asked about balance factor, the skies opened up, and angels descended.

Cameron knew his stuff when it came to HD JD and racing, but he should never have got involved with Ernie Edward Skelton
