Magneto settings?

Pretty much anything not covered by the topics above. Short lived production bikes or vehicles, Electrical, Tires, Paint, Brakes, etc. Use this for tech questions, and "Shoot the Bull" for general conversation, no tech.

Folks,

I have zero experience with magnetos, but must get a machine running with a Joe Hunt.

What are the points and plug gaps supposed to be?

Many thanks in advance,

Maybe you ought to post the same question in the bike model category that you are working on Cotten ?

Golly Pa,

Don't they run mags on Shovels, Pans,... and even (gasp!) sportsters?

Like I said, I'm clueless.

That they do Cotten. They run them on farm tractors as well. I have no expertise on magnetos either but I figured if you placed the question in a model topic you would get hits faster.

Tim!

I'll never forget when NGK changed their A6s to resistors without telling anyone.
Fifteen miles and they would foul out, but still looked good.
