Hello there here is a question that mix,s old and modern Harley electrics
I have a 1968 xlch that I have fitted a electronic tacho from a 1994 Sportster
can,t get it to work. I think the fact the earlier one has a wasted spark
and the tacho won,t recognise the signal from the coil. Is it possible to
rewire the instrument or is there an adapter that will correct the problem,
possibly from twin spark to a single spark between coil and tacho.
I hope there is someone out there who can shed some light on this unusual idea.
Thanks Neil

If your running a mag you'll need a signal converter. I had that setup on my WR for a while.
If that's what your running let me know and I'll try to dig up the info on it.
