I got a 78 1200cc lowrider, fresh top end, Crane ignition, mild cam, original Kiene(?) card rebuilt but probably worn out. Second owner since about 1988, bro bought new. Anyway thinking of running a CV carb on it. I have a couple of late 90s carbs but haven't checked out whats involved in adapting to manifold. Anyone run one on a shovel?
My 95 springer has one and it ran like crap until I put a Yost kit in it.
Gracias

Not personally, but a lot of guys do. There are a couple different ways to mount. One is a rubber flange adapter that uses a hose clamp and another is an aluminum adapter that uses the stock CV seal. Both need a carb support bracket but the second style absolutely requires brackets to hold the carb on (in stock configuration the CV carbs were sandwiched between the manifold and the air cleaner which was bolted to the head) Other than that figure of doing some jetting.
