Of course we all know that it never looked that good as long as Burt owned it. When Dean Hensly owned it he sent it to Steve Huntsinger who did an Elite restoration actually making the bike something it never was. The racer that now sits in New Zealand was Burt's test bed. He transported the bike to the US in '62 and after that trip it never returned home. Burt traveled to the US for Bonneville and brought the engine with him, installed it in the streamliner for Bonneville. After the Bonneville season was over the engine returned to New Zealand with Burt. For several years in the '70's Burt's bike hung on the wall of Lyle Parker's collection in Volcano, CA. I was at Davenport when Dean was over revving the engine and heard the sound of destruction.
