I'm trying to remove a set of 45 lifters with no joy. After fighting out the counter sunk screw that broke the head in half vertically. The blocks don't want to move at all I've soaked them for a few weeks, pried and beat! Is there some trick that a Harley guy would know?

Hope I can do this without the 'template', DD!

The two methods are either a puller that screws upon the block valvecover threads, and then screw-presses down upon the tappet while seated upon the cam,
(can't find a pic...)

or a slap-hammer puller.

Hope this helps,
