5AL Crankshaft

Hi all,

So I'm continuing the puzzle and of course it brings up a lot of questions.

I have a crankshaft stamped: U5362 - 5AL

It's in a pretty rough condition rust here and there, nicks on the sprocket shaft, and the inside of the flywheels has been badly scratched around the crankpin.

I am planning to disassemble the whole thing.
Polish the pinion shaft and save it.
Machine the scratched area on the flywheels, and get thicker washers.
Get a new sprocket shaft.

Any thoughts and advice on this?

I would replace all three shafts.

Polishing the shafts will remove metal and make them out of round. Replace them.
